Children’s Opportunities
Year-round Sunday School - Resurrection offers Sunday School classes at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. During the School year, we begin each class with a Sunday School opening where we sing Bible songs, pray, and have some time with Jesus. Following the Sunday School opening, the children go to the appropriate classroom for their age.
During the Summer months, our Sunday School classes are a little less structured with curriculum, but there is always a theme for the day that organizes the Sunday School lesson and activities as we encourage the children to learn about Jesus in dynamic new ways.
Between four to six times a year, the Sunday School children share some of the songs they are learning with the congregation as they sing during the worship service.
Vacation Bible School - Every year, Resurrection Lutheran Church holds Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children in our congregation and our community. There is no charge for VBS; however, we do encourage the children to bring offering money that can be given to a VBS Mission Project.
Children’s Christmas Nativity - Do you know the story of Jesus’ birth? Our children do. Each year, they work very hard to learn and share the Christmas story by memorizing scripture and singing some of those most precious and familiar Christmas Carols to share the greatest Christmas Present of all – Jesus Christ!
