About Resurrection

Resurrection Lutheran Church is a young and growing mission congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod located on the West side of Sioux Falls, SD.

Begun in the early 1990′s with five families meeting in the District Office, Resurrection has grown considerably over the last two decades. Our first worship service was the first Sunday after Easter in 1991. Our worship facility was built and dedicated in 1993. The following year we added onto the facility with a multi-purpose room for fellowship and Sunday School. Since then, we have been involved with planting a mission congregations in the neighboring town of Tea, and we are in the process of working with the other LC-MS churches in the Sioux Falls Area to plant congregations in Harrisburg and Northwest Sioux Falls.

In 2009-2010, as part of our church ministry, we constructed and opened a substantial addition in the form of a child development center called Open Arms.   Resurrection and Open Arms floorplan

Currently, we are the only Sioux Falls LC-MS congregation located West of I-29. We are conveniently located on the North side of W. 26th Street one block West of Marion Road. Our address is 5500 W. 26th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. Look for the tall cross!
